Ant Control

Ants are tiny in size, but they can be a huge nuisance in and around the home as they search for food and shelter. Although they are generally considered beneficial, several species contaminate food, damage structures and bite or sting. Damage by ants, to houses and other structures, is caused over a long period of time through soil removal from paving and foundations. Usually ants nest outdoors, but can be known to build nests in wall cavities, under house foundations, woodpiles, paved areas, water features and pebble beds. Common ants in South Africa are the Brown House Ant, the Black Sugar Ant and Pharoah Ant. While the different species are attracted to different foodstuffs, the general treatment for all is the same.
